I have an 2002 ford explorer and the truck runs GREAT! Just the 4x4 high and low lights blink 3 time then stops for a few minutes then blink 3 more times and keeps going. The truck dosnt make any noises or runs any different. Wondering if its the 4x4 control module or speed sensior. And had a 9 hour road trip will it hurt if I drove it without it being fixed? Thank you Dan

Dan, is the 4wd working on demand? Also, I would recommend having the computer scanned to determine what is causing the problem. Most parts stores will do it for free. Have it checked and let me know what you find. I don't want to say about the trip without knowing where the problem is coming from.

Have the computer scanned and let me know what codes they tell you.
