Hi

I have a 2002 Ford explorer 8 cylinder 4x4 SUV. Every time I drive the vehicle makes a weird noise.

While I drive my SUV it make a weird noise, its grinding or hitting something or it sound like its going over a speed bump and its a consistent sound, the tires pressure are fine. I hear if a lot more as I accelerate, you can hear the sound very clearly while driving in silence at a fast rate or when you are just let the car cruise slowly with only drive train forcing the vehicle to move. ALSO it flashes 4x4 high and 4x4 low simultaneously, it flash every 10-15 minis, I press 4x4 high does not do anything, I press 4x4 auto and 4x4 low same results. Also the vehicle does not have air shocks. What do you think the problem is?

Thank you in advance

Scan for codes to see if it's tcase module problem it may be kicking the tcase halfway out of ger causing it. However with something like this a local pro should look at it and give an opinion.

Ger was a typo error meaning gear. And if you have a switch to go from 42d high /low /2wd there is a module like the ecm to operate the tcase.
