4X4 high flashing 8 times

My 2002 Ford Explorer 4×4 high light, has been flashing 8 times for the past 3 days, somebody scanned for trouble codes and he got a rear output speed scensor failure, I dont remember the code I was given, anyhow I replaced one of the speed scensors and have been driving my car for the last 60 miles, at low and high speed and the light wont go off. Question is that may be I replaced the wrong part.

You may have but it may be something else as well, like a wiring issue or connection problem see pic

Thanks for the info. Looks that I put it in the wrong spot. Im trying to remove the oss but wont come out. I can turn it after removing the 10mm bolt, but the sensor itself is not coming out, probably because of the o ring getting stuck. Any ideas? Barely have any space. Thanks again.

Try shooting choke cleaner around it while wiggling it
