1993 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 96.000 miles

car just clicks battery starter. Cylinoid. Relay switch all good cables and ignition switch also good any ideas would be helpful

Is it cranking over and will not start or just won't crank over at all/nothing when key at start position?

Car will crank over when jumper cables are hooked up directly to the starter and ignition switch is turned on all the way

W/O cables try to engaged the starter by shorting out the starter relay and see what happens
