It is probably the shift motor on the back of the transfer case. If you would like to do a couple of tests to make sure then let me know and I will walk you through it. Thanks and have a Merry Christmas

No the transfer case shift motor is on the back of the transfer case under the truck, it looks like a window motor. Here is a pic of what they usually look like.
