1998 Ford Expedition 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I think I ran out of gas. I since filled gas can x2. Now reads 1/4 tank of gas. However won't stay started unless I keep foot on gas.

I need you to check the fuel pump pressure. I have a feeling that you picked up dirt from the bottom of the tank and either damaged the pump or the filter is partially plugged.

Here is a how to for checking pressure. If you need a gauge, many parts stores will lend or rent them.
