1991 Ford Escort Wont start

The car won't start or do anything. There is no battery noise like it is dead and there is power going in. Won't jump start. Dome light works and shoulder harness moves indicating power. Any idea

First, make sure the battey terminals are clean and tight. Make sure the cables are in good condition, the ground wire is clean and tight on the engine block and the positive cable is clean and tight too.

If you have a volt meter, check how many volts are being produced by the battery and let me know.
