1989 Ford Escort heater core location

Brother just bought this car in summer time never checked the heater, replaced all fuses and still no action, I am trying to find the heater core to test it can you point me in the right direction

First I would like to you to check behind the glovebox I belive 89 is the year where they began being put behind the dash to make things harder, if its not behind the glove box then its under the dash.

To test the heater core, feel the heater core hoses right at the firewall and note back what you find, if one is hot, neither, one hotter then the other, or both feel just fine.
