So my brake lights won't light up. Both driver side and passenger and rear windshield lights. I've checked fuses and bulbs. All look okay. I found some advice to Check the brake light switch on the brake pedal linkage. How do I do this and how do I know i'm doing it right? Please help.

thanks

The brake light switch is at the top of your brake pedal assembly. The task is not hard to do, just hard to explain. Your best bet is to get a repair manuel, you can get one at an auto parts store for between 15-20 dollars, the one I have shows a good detailed blow-up drawing of everything.
Good luck,
