2004 Ford Crown Victoria Headlights

My headlight turn on and off while I'm driving or even sitting still. Sometimes you can hear a click when this happens. I can pull the bright beams toward me and the come on but have to hold it until they turn the self back on. Why or what is this? And how do I fix it? Ty

There is a short in system and circuit breaker in headlight switch is doing this. Find the short and fix it. Check in front end under hood or by grille, car was probably in accident
