My car is a diesel and has started cutting out recently and the heater plug light on the dash has been flashing. I presumed it must need new heater plugs but a friend said he once had a similar problem and it was in fact something to do with a small fuel pump or tank. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hey EAMONN,

This sounds like you have separate problems, first it sounds like the block heater has gone out that what will make the heater plug light come on, next when it cuts on turn the key to the on position to see if you hear the fuel pump in the tanks comes on. If not the pump in the tank may need to be replaced.

Here is a video on how to do it.
