Dear experts, here is my question. I recently bought a honda airwave 2007 model car which has cvt gearbox.
It has a problem unfortunately none of the mechanics who I went to was not able to figure out.

I start the car and start moving all seems ok but the low gears such as 1, 2 and 3 dont seem to shift smoothly it requires the rpm to reach approximtely 3000 to make a shift. Sometimes even to 4000 and sometimes "D" starts to blink so I have to switch off the engine and to switch off the blinking D

And when the car is get going the Rpm is not quite stable. It goes up and down constantly.

So here are thevthings I did to solve this issue.
I have replaced the gearbox to see if it solved the problem but since it didnt I got my old box back.
Done a tune up
changed EGR valve
Changed throttle body
Replaced plugs
Checked TPS
Checked cam and cranks sensors
Chaged cvt fluid

None of above solved my problem so here im here looking for help.
Any advices are much appreciated.
Thank you.

We don't list that code but it may be a pcm problem causing it. As far as abs that may or may not be part of the problem and the other eps code is for steering which all of these should be taken care of. What you might look at is see if the harness has a good connection and or is damaged or pinched it may be causing all of your codes. But again we have no info on that car so it is pretty much useless for to us to give any other diagnostics. One thing that you might look at is corrosion at harness hook up on trans. Try cleaning it off and using dielectric grease on the connection may help it.

These are relatively new as far as transmissions and not a lot is known about them. Scan for codes if any and get back to us. You can check to see if filter is partially clogged as well as shift linkage ok. We dont' have that vehicle in USA so no info on it.

Dear HMAC300, Thanks for your quick reply. I have changed the air filter. And regarding codes which car had scanned dozens times sometimes I get an error code p1890 shift control system malfunction. Thats what made me to change the gearbox. And there is another error regarding EPS and another regarding ABS which I think has nothing to do with my case.
