Engine problems with 1992 Lincoln Town Car

The problem I'm having is whenever I'm driving if I hold any speed over 45mph my check engine light will come on. The car doesn't start acting up or stutter or anything and the light will go back off if I decelerate below 40mph. I'm not sure what could be causing this. Help it's greatly appreciated.

The only way you are going to know why that light is coming on is to have the computer scanned.

I had it scanned at a mechanic and they said there were no codes.

About the only thing that will put the check engine light on without setting a code is the alternator overcharging so I would check that at higher RPM. Otherwise there may be a problem with the equipment used to scan it.
