Engine light stays on while driving, so I did the process to receive the codes and all it showed after approximately 5 seconds was done. Then after a couple of more seconds the engine light started flashing and it flashed 9x. Is this possibly another code being sent and I’ll require a code reader or?

Good morning,

Yes, there is a fault code stored for the light.

You will need a code reader or take it to a parts store and have the code read.

With a flashing light, it indicates a misfire but the code will help us narrow the area of failure.

My car is going in for some transmission work this week so I’ll get it figured out there. I won’t need to waste anymore of your time but thanks again for the information.
