My check engine light came on yesterday for the first time after I cranked it up at 6pm. I went to an Auto Zone and let them do the diagnostic test, but it would not read at that store. I went to another one about a mile down and when they tested it, it read- E.G.R. (Exhaust Gas Recirculator) valve. So I drove home and did not crank it up for at least 2 or 3 hours later and the light was off.I cranked it up this morning and drove to work and the light remained off. So what does this means?
Will the light come back on eventually or what? I don't know what to expect when it comes to geting it fixed, will this cause me alot of money or what?

The valve in the EGR may have stuck turning on the light and is now working again. I would let it go to see if it hapens again. If it does, then have the EGR checked or replaced.
