My daughters car has a check engine light and I checked it the code is PO480. I know that is a problem with the fan or controls. I asked about this last week but now there is a new problem.
When she backs up the engine shuts off. She can start it right away. Would the PO480 problem cause the engine to shut off? If not what could be the cause?

Hello, I am Danny.

Yes, that is possible. The fan that circulates the airflow throughout the engine compartment is affected. The coolant temperature sensor might be getting a false reading and therefore the engine is shut off thinking it's avoiding overheating. I would get fixed as soon as possible. I have attached a picture of its general description. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Could I get a clear picture of the fan controls and fuses and where they are located?
