Car will not accelerate at speed over 40 MPH, will not shift gears

This just happened for the first time this morning after putting gas in the car. The check engine light has been coming on and off intermittently for the last few days. Car would not accelerate or ship gears when I tried to go pass 40 MPH

When the light is on, take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer. That will tell us what trouble code / problem is causing the light to come on. From there, we will have a good understanding of the problem.

Most parts stores will scan the computer for free.
