It started with an electronic handbrake fault, but it still worked. Then the handbrake completely stopped working and it drained the battery. I purchased a brand new battery but that only lasted six weeks. What do you think the fault could be and roughly how much to get it all sorted again?

It came up with a fault but still worked for a while, then just completely stopped working. Nothing happens when you try to engage it.

I would be checking the alternator charge rate and also have a current draw test done on the battery. This will isolate any circuit that is drawing down on the battery with everything turned off. I doubt that the handbrake is the source of the problem, but you will have to test each brake actuator to see if power is being applied when the hand brake is applied, start here.
