I just bought the truck listed above 1500 and I am having a problem with the lights. When I turn the lights on the left front works but right doesn't. When I turn the high beams on the right one turns on but the left one doesn't. None of the blinkers work besides the left front and the right tail light doesn't work. When I press on the brakes but all the running lights are on. I replaced the FCM and still no luck. All the fuses are good. Can someone lead me in the right direction of what I'm looking for?

Hi,

The first thing I think of deals with the TIPM (totally integrated power module). I have run into this issue before. There are several tiny pins at the connectors and oftentimes they break or corrode.

What I need you to do is this: At the lamp connector, I need you to check for power. If we have power (12v), I need you to reconnect the socket and back probe the power supply and see if there is power loss. That would indicate a bad connection for a number of different possible reasons.

I attached the wiring schematic below for you to review. It is the schematic for the headlamp circuit. I highlighted the wires that are related. For example, when the right low beam doesn't work, I highlighted the wire that should power it. The same with the high beam on the left. Here is a link you may find helpful:

Try this and let me know the results.

Take care,

Joe

Going to replace the TIPM ran some tests and we're not getting power on pin 6 and 7 out of the fuse box to the FCM.

Hi,

The integrated power module is somewhat pricey. Make sure there is a problem with it. Most times it is the connectors that corrode or break, so inspect them when you disconnect each connector.

I attached the directions below for removal and replacement.

I hope this helps. Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
