After 125 miles since battery replaced, 2 readiness codes will not reset. Runs rough, then runs o.K. For short time then run rough again. Oxygen sensor heater & e.G.R. System will not reset.

Have you pulled the plugs to see if you can ID the cylinder that is running rich? this could be a bad coil, injector, plug or wire (if applicable). Intermittent shorts like that are usually a bad coil, but not always

I have also purchased "Mitchell" service Manual for diognostics. I found T.S.B.S that may play a part in this issue also. You Guys are great ! Thanks again ! Electrical problem
1999 Dodge Stratus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 115k miles

I got my tint done recently. Lol

An when I got my car back the dash board check engine light came on, along with Various other problems. Speedodometer doent register speed, then the fuel gauge is fluctuating from where its actually filled to, to nothing and back. When accelerating the car sputters. Feels as if something is holding the car back(as if emergency brake is on). However before this episode; the car experienced no problems whatsoever.

What windows where tinted? I would advise returning to the shop and voice you concerns. If a film type tint was applied, water is used and squeegeed so some may have gotten into a control module somehow.

P0700= Transmission control system. You need to check the connections at the module, and the plug at the tranny for corrosion or bent/pushed out pins. That is step one!

Electrical problem
1998 Dodge Stratus 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive 174000 miles

I've been having this issue since 2007 and I choose not to purchase another used car is because I'm a part-time student and worker plus the car I have is paid in full.

Since before my sister gave me her car, I've been having history of problems from oil leakage, water pump, fuel pump, timing belt and having to replace catalytic converter and finally a new motor. At any given daily moment, my car's check engine light will come on while I'm driving (it will jerk the car) or sometimes at idle. If idle, the car dies and I simply put it park crank it up and its back to normal until it happens again.

I don't know what do to anymore. I gave up honestly.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine manangement system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.

Go to a local auto part store and have the check engine light codes scanned. Stores such as AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts will run this diagnostic scan for free. Post the codes and we can better assist you.

Hi. My RPM needle jumps from around 1.4 to 4 when I hit 70mph. There is no gradual climb, and it will stay at 4(4000) RPM even if I speed past 70mph. When I idle at the light and drop it in neutral I can see the RPM needle glide up a little as it would normally. So I know the needle is active and working normally until I hit a speed where its required to go past 1.4RPM(1400), and thats where it gets stuck and will only jump to 4(4000) when I hit 70mph. There is no preformance decline. The car runs smooth when all this is going on, but there is a very low whistle that comes on when I hit 70mph and just today I got a check engine light. That may have or may not have anything to do with the RPM issue. Other issues, I feel a kick through my steering wheel when im stopped at the light. Its not as hard of a kick if im in neutral. Thank you. Appreciate all the help.

My first thought, being you apparently have no performance problems, is a bad tachometer unit itself. But, I would like to know what tripped your check engine light. If you would have the computer scanned and let us know what code(s) are stored, it will help. PleaSE ADVISE.

My car let me sit today. I felt like it was running out of gas but it has a full tank of gas. Then the check engine light came on and said misfire so we put a new cap and rotor on it and it still is running like its going to run out of gas now I know it has something to do with the fuel sym but I dont know what!
