1995 Dodge Stratus Location of the Fuel Filter 1995 Stratus

I have read several web pages stating different locations for the fuel filter above the back of fuel tank, under the drivers side in front of the fuel tank.
Do I have to drop the fuel tank to get to the fuel filter it is the inline type with a mounting bracket.

It is actually above and in the back of the fuel tank, almost in the center. You do have to drop the tank to remove the filter. My suggestion: Especially with your mileage, if the pump has not been change, and do to the effort to replace the filter, I would replace the fuel pump as well, at the same time.
