1993 Dodge Shadow Shifting cable bracket

I broke the bracket where my selective shifting cable attaches to the rubber gromment. I had to make a gromment to replace the one I had. Because dodge no longer makes the cable for that year. And as I was pushing it on the bracket. The bracket snaped where it attaches to the transmission. It looks like an L shaped bracket made out of allumimun. Any suggestion at this point would be a big help. I am a disabled vet living on a fixed income and there isn't anyway I can afford a new tranny or let alone a used tranny or car a this time in my life. Hope you guys can help
