1992 Dodge Shadow occasionally won't shift into first gear

My reliable Dodge Shadow has recently started not shiftling into first gear on occaision. THe only way to get it into gear is to slam it or slip the clutch. From first on it shifts smooth. The problem seems to be specific to first, at least for now.

Yes indeed. Smooyh after first. Thank god for synchomesh. Clutch is failing, have it done!
