Engine Performance problem
1998 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have brought my car into the mechanic and got the radiator replaced. Now the mechanic says my car "runs rich" because I have antifreeze in the engine. How would that be fixed? Can it be fixed? Will my car die soon?

Thanks

I do not understand when the mechanic said the car runs "rich", because there is antifreeze in the engine. Antifreeze in engine is a telltale of bad or even blown head gasket. It can be fixed, to a certain point, if there is not crack on either the head or the block. It is an extensive repair, top half of the motor has to come out, the head and the block may need resurfacing prior to reassembly.
