I have a 1998 Intrepid, 152,000 miles with a 2.7 engine. This morning it ran hot, not all the way to the red mark, but anyway, when I stopped, it went dead and would not crank back. After about an hour, when it cooled off, it crank, drove it a couple blocks, as soon as it reached a certain temp. It died again, and would not crank. Waited another 1/2 or so, until it cooled down, and then it crank. It's never done this. I've had the car 6 years and never had any real trouble with it. Do you think it's serious?

I have a 2002 Dodge Intrepid 2.7 lt. Engine w/118000 miles. The reservoir boils. I have replaced the duel fans, pressure relief valve and housing, and the thermostat. I replaced the antifreez with the required antifreeze that is yellow instead of the green. The readiator was flushed and is good. The vehicle shows the engine is cool and the temp for the coolant is 104 to 107 but the resovoir is still boiling. I cannot find the solution and wonder if the water pump need replacing. Please advise and all possibilities. Sincerely. Please submit a pic. On where the water pump is located.
