2002 Dodge Dakota heater/air blower and risister

Hi caradiodoc, I took your your advice I replaced the resister and the motor but the wires where you plug in the resister is still getting hot do you have anymore ideas I do not know where to go from here

Hi:
I don't kow if I or someone else answered your first question. However, I'll try to help now. First, it is normal for them to get warm, but not hot enough to melt the plug. Has that happened? Next, check the power supply to the motor itself for continuity. Make sure there isn't too much resistance in that wire. If the resister is new and the motor, that is about all it could be unless you got a bad part that is drawing too many amps.
