1998 Dodge Dakota Check Engine light on, engine runs rough

1998 Dodge Dakota V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 209k miles

Hi,

Yesterday I went to fill up with gas and check the oil on my truck, after leaving the gas station, the engine was running a little rough and now the check engine light is on. Would this simply be a spark plug?

A little history on the truck: At approximately 170K kms, the timing chain went on the truck about 2 years ago. They rebuilt the engine.

What you need to do first is to get a scan done to read this set fault code, this will give you the code that will identify the problem, no good second guessing these codes, report the code here if you need further assistance.
