1998 Dodge Dakota sensor problem

My truck accelerates by it self and the check engine light turn on and then it turns off by it self so I have to wait about a minute then I try again and it turns on again

Scan the computer for trouble codes. That should indicate what is causing the problem. It almost sounds like a bad idle air control valve, but the code should help us be sure.

Any major parts chain like Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Kragen will scan if for you for free
