Temperature light on 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan AWD

I have a 1997 DGCaravan AWD with 97,200 miles on it. It is a V6.
My wife was driving it when the service engine soon light came on. She said after that the temperature light came on a "bell noise" started.
I met her & checked the reservoir, which was very low. I filled it & restarted the car. The service engine light stayed on, but the temp light went off. The temp gauge went down to 1/2 & I started to driveit home.
The gauge began to climb agai & then the temp light came on again. I stopped the vehicle & checked the reservoir, which was full. I don't see any leaks anywhere on the block or around the hoses.

See if the coolant is circulating. If not check the thermostat, the water pump. If you can pressure test the system.
