Engine Performance problem
1998 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan has a code of P1294 which indicatres the taregeted idle has not been acheived. The engine exhaust smell like it is running rich. How do I adjust this and correct the issue.

You can't adjust it. You have to find what is causing the problem. The first thing I would check is the EGR valve. Remove it and see if any carbon is holding the pintle open. If that is OK, check for vacuum leaks.

I checked the egr and cleaned it. The car is running smoother but still has no power. You have to floor it to excellerate

You didn't complain about having a power loss. You said you had an idle problem.
