Computer problem
1997 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 161K miles

I have been having difficulties for some time now. The van has an erratic idle, it surges then nearly dies, but recovers and repeats. It has no power, but once at the speed you want to go it will run fine and maintain speed.

The van was in a shop for three weeks. The following items were replaced, some from a like vehicle in the shop.

ECM
Distributor
TPS
EGR Valve
Fuel Pump and regulator (twice)
Fuel Filter
Temp Sensor
Purge Valve
Timing belt

It doesn't trigger a check engine light of give codes.

Any Ideas would be appreciated.

I would check the idle air control valve, along with the normal things, like spark, and fuel.
