After shifting in 1, 2 or D my car is not moving forward, engine is getting more accelerated with max. Rpms. But car stays on place. Sometimes it moves forward slowly but having much accelerated and with very noisy engine but doesnt getting speed more than 30 mph while I am pushing accelerator upto limits. For reverse speed its working properly.
Pls. Help me to diagnose and to solve the problem. Thnx.

Transmission needs to be replaced or rebuilt. As normal wear takes place over many thousands of miles, the computer updates shift points to produce solid, crisp shifts similar to when it was new. Eventually it can't update enough to overcome the internal wear and slippage occurs.

Your mechanic can connect a scanner, (hand-held computer) to the car and read out the "clutch volume index" (CVI). This is a set of four numbers indicating how many ccs of fluid are required to apply each clutch pack. From experience, they can tell you exactly what is wrong internally, and whether repair is possible or if replacement is a more economical alternative.
