There are a couple other things that we need to check. If you have a scan tool then we need to see if the engine is running rich which would indicate a spark issue on that cylinder. However, I suspect we have a lean misfire or compression issue. So let's start with checking these two things.

I would check the compression first and then swap the injector from this cylinder to another cylinder. If the misfire moves to that cylinder then the injector is the issue.

However, if the compression is low then you do not need to worry about the injector until that is corrected.

Below is how to replace an injector so clearly just swap it and don't replace it until you know if it moved the misfire.

Let us know what you find with this and we can go from there. Thanks

Hi,

Do you feel the misfire and is the check engine light flashing?

It could be a fuel pressure issue or a fuel injector issue. Is a P0302 the only code that is found?

If it is, then we need to try something. What I want you to do is switch the cylinder 2 fuel injector with a different cylinder to see if the misfire changes cylinders.

If you look at the attachments below, they provide the directions and pics specific to his vehicle for injector replacement.

Try this and let me know what happens.

Take care,

Joe
