mazda 6 ATF & check engine light on & shuddering gears

Hi there, the ATF ligth in my car came on the other day , but actual levels are fine. It went off but came on the next day & so did the check engine light. The car also shudders when put into gear. Not sure what's going on, any & all help welcome, thanks!

An error has been detected in the transmission control system and maybe the engine system as well. You need to get a scan done to check for trouble codes to find out which circuit or component is malfunctioning.

Most parts stores provides free scanning services.
