Tried to start the car but only cranks wont start. Towed to mechanic shop. DTC for crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor. Replaced both sensors and reset the ECU, still cranks but won't start. Fuel pump and fuel filter, still cranks but won't start. Scanned for codes and he told me "something about the immobilizer" and no other codes when he scanned. I don't know what he meant exactly about the immobilizer. What could be the issue?

Hi,

The immobilizer is tied into the anti-theft system. Does the vehicle have anti theft? Usually, there is an indicator on the dash that tells you when the theft system is active. Do you remember seeing anything?

Let me know. Also, if you can contact him to find out if there are codes present, it will be helpful. It will help me direct you.

Take care,
Joe
