I have a problem with my clutch. The pedal got heavy then I lost the clutch. The slave cylinder push rod has broken in two and leaked all the fluid. However, with the engine running I can still put in gear but nothing happens (would like expect with no hydraulic fluid the clutch to be permanently engaged and be unable to put in gear). I suspect something has broken inside the actual clutch. What is this most likely to be?

Yes, it sounds like the throw-out bearing seized on the input bearing retainer. You will need to remove the transmission to see what is going on. Here is a video that will show you what you are in for when doing the job but you may not need to lower the cradle:

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Cheers, Ken
