Tried to leave, pushed clutch and it would get stuck and not change gears. Waited fifteen minutes and it has pressure now and will change gears.

Hi Shane,

Sounds like the slave cylinder is failing or has failed. When you press the clutch down and it does not return up and the gears grind, this typically means your hydraulic system is not operating. In simple terms, when you press the pedal, it pushes fluid down through the system and disengages the clutch. When the master cylinder or the slave cylinder have failed, this do longer disengages the clutch because the fluid is not being moved sufficiently enough.

However, if this is the case, it would make most sense to go ahead and have the entire clutch replaced. More than likely you will need to replace the clutch disc and fly wheel sooner or later and if you are going into the system to this extent, I would just put it all in. This will prevent you from going back in a second time whenever your clutch disc does fail.
