Clutch pedal not moving up after being pressed?

Clutch when pushed goes down and does not come up.

Hi,

The first thing to check is if the clutch master cylinder fluid is low or empty. The reservoir is located under the hood on the firewall, driver's side. See pic 1 below.

Check if it is empty. If it is, refill it with brake fluid Dot3. Also, if it is empty, check for leaks in the line between it and the slave cylinder. Also, inspect the slave and below the bell housing for evidence of a leak. If you don't see any, reach up under the dash where the push rod goes through the firewall to the clutch MC. See if it is wet. Note: The slave cylinder, which is the component that pushes the release bearing, is internal, so it is important to check at the bottom of the bell housing for leaks. Pic 2 below shows the slave cylinder.
