Hello,

Any time there is a shifting issue, the first item needs to be checked is the transmission fluid. Make sure the fluid is at correct level and in good condition. If the transmission fluid is dirty, then caching out the filter and fluid can surely help.

This could be due to faulty shift solenoid. Faulty solenoid can prevent transmission from shifting gear(s).

Many times, with transmission issues, the check engine light will get triggered. If your engine light illuminated, then it will be a good idea to scan for the cedes. As it can help with the diagnostics.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
