I hear this chirping noise from the car whenever the car is in neutral. As soon as I step down on the clutch the noise seams to go away. I also hear the noise when in gear and I am traveling at low speeds (1000 rpm and less) I know some of you might say it is a throw out bearing, but I thought that was the problem when you press down on the clutch. Or could it still be that? I had the clutch replaced about a year ago. I am not sure if the throw out bearing could go bad in such a short period of time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Throw out bearing or a bearing on the input shaft of the transmission are the two most likely suspects. If you only heard the noise while in neutral I would say the pilot bearing but with the clutch engaged it is turning the same speed as the input shaft.

Another item could be wear on the thrust face of the bearings inside the engine.

With the state of the parts I have seen in the past few years I do not expect parts to last unless they are factory parts, and even then they are questionable at times.

Get a section of hose, hold one end up to your ear and move the other end around the bell housing and engine the hose will work to isolate the noise from the background sounds. See if you can at ID the area the sound is the loudest.
