2002 Chevy Tahoe Metal Vibration Noises on Driver Side

I am hearing a vibration under/or in my steering column. It happens when I am going around 30mph and/or if I am on a bumpy road. It sounds like it is metal on metal and I know that if I move my gear shift back and forth I can also hear the same noise. Any suggestions as to what it could be? It has about 120,000 miles on it.

Sounds like you have the old steering shaft blues, not a big deal to do and inexpensive to pay someone to do. There was a recall but I dont know if your vehicle was in it, you may want to call the dealer and give them you vin over the phone before moving forward
