1999 Chevy Truck

I own a z71 1999 chevy truck and last friday I filled up the truck with gas. Once I attempted to start the truck the key would turn, but the fuel pump would not kick on. Usually, before the truck starts I can hear the fuel pump (like a buzzing sound). This time I could not hear anything. I towed the truck home and checked all of the fuses. After checking the fuses I sprayed some starting fluid on the carborator. The truck started right up and ran fine. The truck ran and started for two days. On the third day I drove to a friends house and once I got ready to leave and start the truck it would not start. It did the same thing it did before. The key would turn, but it was not actually kicking on to start. I used a omes meter and checked the fuel pump relay, ignition fuse and engine fuse. I think it is an electrical problem because the fuel pump seems fine and was working before hand.

First thing you shoul do is check the fuel pressure. It could be that your fuel pump is just going out.
Check the pressure

The fuel pump ground corrodes on these systems. The fuel pump ground is located just before the fuel tank and connects to the frame cross member. It is the black wire that breaks out of the fuel pump wiring harness -- you'll see. Try removing this connection and cleaning it up real good -- re-doing the wire crimp is a good idea. This may be your issue.
