So, I am trying to pre-diagnose a future failure. I turn the ignition switch and it won't start. I turn the key back and try again and it starts. Solenoid? Ignition switch or starter?

Hello, have you tried cranking in neutral? The purple wire at the starter solenoid should be hot, with key in the crank position. If it isn't backtrack the circuit.

Jdl123- No I haven't tried yet because it goes ahead and starts. I guess I think it may not in the future.

I will try it tonight.
