1999 Blazer heat blowing cold air

The heat is on but blowing cold air - does not get hot. Is it the thermostat? 4.3 V6 engine - Is the thermostat hard to replace? Where is it located?

T-stat is on top of the engine, follow the upper radiator hose. Check the coolant level first, if its low then the heater core might be empty= cold air
