Air Conditioning problem
2005 Chevy Trailblazer Four Wheel Drive Automatic 62100 miles

all of a sudden our fan has stopped working and this is not pleasant as we're having a heat wave in the Midwest! We've tried all 5 fan positions and nothing. Weird part is that it appears the air conditioning is still working. When we're driving 55 mph or driving on the highway we can feel cold air coming out of the vents (not BLOWING OUT but enough to feel if you put hand up to it), but if we stop then so does any cold air. Has anyone had this same experience?

We'd appreciate any help as we're down to one income in this economy and things are pretty tight right now. Could you please give repair pricing as well? Thank you

Check the blower resistor and harness connector, they get burnt and melt, very common problem. Have to say about $150.00, the resistor is $58.00, but if you go aftermarket could be cheaper.

So I went to the dealership. They replaced the blower motor resistor and connector and the total was $285.51. Then they came and told me that my Pinion Seals were bad in the front and rear and that they needed to be replaced which was $400.00. They said it would cause alot of damage if I didn't have them replaced so I said okay. Well I go home and wake up the next morning and I have a LARGE oily yellow spot on our concrete driveway under the back of the car. I was not happy so I went back to the dealership and they told me that the rear seal was a bad one and they put a new one on. This was about a month ago and I swear the car has not been right since. Can anyone tell me what the seals are for and if it's common for them to errode like that? Thanks.
