Hello I have a 98 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 with approximately 110500 miles on it. When I first start it up and go to drive it does not accelerate how it should. It goes but I have to wait about 6 or 7 seconds before it drives normally. The acceleration on it is terrible when you first start to drive after you start it. If it sits while its started for a few minutes I don't have a problem. I thought it might be the fuel filter but I replaced it and thats not it. Have any ideas of what might be causing this?

Maybe transmission problem. If it runs /pulls well warmed up may have tran fluid degradation. Change and filter see what happens.

Check fuel pump I had same issue. Truck ran fine but when I stepped on the gas it felt like it didnt want to go. Took me 9 months to figure it out. Read somewhere this guy had the same problem. Replaced everything, and I mean everything. Finally FUEL PUMP. I did that and it was perfect truck has so much power after 140000 miles. Im keeping it now. Check your fuel presure warmed up.
