Steering problem
2004 Chevy Tahoe V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 97500 miles

when the engine is idling or running at low rpm's (1-3) the power steering and power brakes loose the " power" and becme manual. However during higher rpm's the power steering and power brakes are normal.
what can be done?

Hello, does your vehicle have the hydro-boost system? On this system, the power steering pump supplies hydraulic pressure for both the brakes and steering. I don't know if you need a new pump? I have heard of using a smaller pulley on the power steering pump to speed up pump rpms at lower speeds. Maybe your local front-end shop can point you in the correct direction.
