Governer Chevy Silverado 1500

I need advice on how to take the engine governor off this vehicle. Can anyone help?

The governor is controlled by the ECM. The only safe way to mess with this is to buy an aftermarket performance chip. Not all will cancel the governor, but I think all would void any warranty.
