My 1999 V 6 Chevy Silverado worked fine w/o any troubles on Sat. On Sunday morning, it would not start. It turns over but does does not catch. I turn it over and over with no luck. Sounds like a fuel issue, but would that go so quickly. While starting it shutters a little and coughs but does not go. It did rain heavily on Saturday night and truck is out side.

Help.

With all the electronics in todays cars you are only a key turn from being stuck. Sometimes the parts just goes without any warning. To start I would go with the basics and check all the fuse particularly the fuel pump and ignition fuses. If they test good then you need to know if you have a fuel or ignition problem. When the motor cranks the problem is most of the time a fuel or ignition problem and in some rare cases its a timing issue. Check for spark at the plug wires. If there is no spark then you have a ignition problem but if you do have spark then its a fuel problem. Good luck :)
