2005 Chevy Silverado Problem getting fuel into tank

2005 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I having a problem getting fuel into my gas tank, pump keeps shutting off. Only way to get fuel in is to dribble it in. Vent hose seems to be ok, fuel hose is ok to.

Hi:
The only thing I can think of is a ball that is designed to prevent fuel from leaking in the event of a roll over. It may be stuck. Also, make sure the rubber hose attached to the filler tube isn't damaged.
